TIFFANY ASHTON, DDS
Dr. Tiffany Ashton has been practicing dentistry in Maryland for over 10 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Florida International University in nutrition and dietetics and later obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry. She completed an additional year of training at an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Maryland Dental School, where she advanced her skills in cosmetic dentistry, periodontics, crowns and bridges, dentures, root canal therapy and Invisalign® orthodontics.
Dr. Ashton’s background in nutrition gives her the unique ability to combine the technical and artistic aspects of dentistry with a focus on overall health. We know that our nutritional intake can have a profound effect on our overall health and well-being, but what is not as well known is that the attention and care that patients give to their mouth, teeth and gums can and does have a direct effect on the health and well-being of the entire body. Dr. Ashton’s goal, in practice, is not only to get patients back to optimal dental health but to also educate them as to why treatment is necessary and the likely consequences when there is a delay or no treatment. Her patients’ best interests are at the core of their planned treatment, and making sure they have a pleasant dental experience is always one of Dr. Ashton’s priorities.
